Bringing the haveli back

When we found it, the haveli had been empty for decades. The courtyards were intact; almost nothing else was.

We worked with conservation architects and craftsmen who still knew lime plaster and sandstone joinery, refusing shortcuts that would have been faster but wrong.

Today the building does what it always did — gathers people around food. We just cook a little differently than its first owners did.
